Small Daily Habit That Changed Me

Life Lessons I learnt while writing Bhagavad Geeta
Back in November 2024, I had the chance to visit Udupi had a great darshan of the world’s best coach and then I met His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji.
That’s when I first heard about the “Koti Gita Lekhana Yajna”—an initiative encouraging people to handwrite the entire Bhagavad Gita in various Indian languages.
Honestly? My first reaction was hesitation. Writing all 18 chapters by hand?
That sounded overwhelming. But something in me said, why not?
So, I decided to take it up as a challenge.
At first, it felt slow. Awkward even. When was the last time I wrote anything by hand for this long?
But soon, it became a daily habit of just 15-20 minutes a day, writing about 8-10 shlokas at a time. And last week, I completed the entire Bhagavad Gita in my own handwriting.
What I Learned Along the Way
Consistency Wins Every Time – Showing up every day, even when I didn’t feel like it, made all the difference. Small, steady steps build momentum.
Patience & Resilience Are Everything – There were tough days when I wanted to give up, but pushing through those moments made me realize how much we’re capable of when we commit.
This Applies to Everything in Life, whether it’s fitness, learning a new skill, or leading teams at work the same principles apply.
Consistency. Patience. Discipline. Over time, they bring results we never imagined possible.
This post isn’t about what I did. It’s about what we can all do when we stick with something, even in small ways.
So tell me—what’s one small habit that has helped you grow?
